About Dillan 

Dillan Spence is a professional guitarist and educator from Casper, Wyoming. Born with a love for the outdoors and music, he is embarking on a journey to play music and adventure all around the west. Currently stationed in Casper, Wy, Dillan teaches guitar lessons and plays gigs all around Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

Dillan was introduced to guitar at a young age and grew up listening to a broad range of rock. In Junior High School he discovered a love for Jazz. He developed a foundation in improvisation throughout high-school and excelled during his time at the University of Wyoming, graduating with his Bachelor's in Music in the Spring of 2023.

Dillan has taught guitar lessons at Abundance Creative Arts in Laramie, Wy since 2018. He strives to teach music in a way that deepens students’ understanding of what they are playing, in addition to how to play it. Creative expression through improvisation is at the center of his teaching philosophy.

Deeply rooted in the outdoors, Dillan strives for self- sufficiency as a means of a more natural, free and healthy life. He is often nomadic, and an avid hunter and fisherman with a great appreciation for the natural world.
